The youngest player of the World Cup, Cameroonian Samuel Eto'o is not at all overawed 10.06.98 19h47 CET Speaking from TOULOUSE :
Samuel ETO'O, forward (11)
The youngest player of the World Cup is from CAMEROON (Group B). He is 17 and is called Samuel ETO'O. On loan from Real Madrid (SPAIN - Group D) to Leganés in the Spanish second division, this forward claims that he is :"not at all overawed by playing in the World Cup. I'm used to being close to the stars at Real Madrid". Samuel ETO'O's feelings on this new adventure are divided :"It is very satisfying for me, but it is strange as well. We wonder what is happening to us. To be the youngest player out of the 704 others in the World Cup is special. Who knows?, I could play in another four World Cups or I might never have the opportunity again". In a very relaxed way, he admits that his "dream is to win the game tomorrow".
