Mexico held by youthful Irish LONDON, May 23 (AFP) World Cup finalists Mexico, ranked fourth in the world, were held to a goalless draw by a young Republic of Ireland side here at Lansdowne Road on Saturday. With their World Cup opener less than three weeks away, the Central Americans showed little in the way of an attacking threat as Mick McCarthys swarmed at them from the kick-off. The highlight of the match for over 28,000 fans were the performances of exciting Irish talents, Wolves striker Robbie Keane and Blackburn winger Damien Duff.
