Born in Ghana, came to France with his family as a child, Trainee at Nantes, making his debut in top division in August 86 v Bordeaux (3/0), Transferred to Olympique Marseille in 92, Transferred to Milan in November, 93
With Marseille, he won the French league title in 92 and the Champions League against Milan in 93. Won European Champions Cup and European Supercup with AC Milan. Won 2 Italian championships with AC Milan.
Was the first player to win the European Champions Cup in two successive seasons with different clubs (a feat later equalled by Paulo Sousa of Juventus and Borussia Dortmund)
His first international goal brought France a 1-0 victory over Azerbaijan in the 96 European Championship qualifying competition
