Born to Sicilien parents, he made his debut as a junior with La Louvière as a junior in 84
Nicknamed the 'Little Pele' after scoring 432 goals in only four seasons he moved to Anderlecht in 80 and made his first division debut in 83
In June 84 he gained Belgium nationality and played in the European Championships
After helping Belgium reach the semi-finals of the 86 World Cup he joined Italian first division side Inter Milan in 87 and was lent to French side Bordeaux (88-89)
Ready to give up football, his career was saved when he joined Guy Roux at AJ Auxerre (89-91)
Returned to Italy to join AC Torino (91-93) and helped them reach the final of the UEFA Cup in 92 and win the Italian Cup in 93.
Joined AS Monaco (93-97), helping them reach Champions League semi-final, before transferring to current club Anderlecht in 97
Took part in the 86, 90 and 94 World Cups
